Francesco Cenvinzo

Francesco Cenvinzo, a Chemical Engineer from the University of Naples Federico II, holds a key position within the ENCODING project. His tasks involve:

  1. Developing digital twins for controlling industrial systems with varying fuel charges.
  2. Creating an advanced process control loop to optimize real-time after-treatment of nitric oxides and other harmful emissions, replacing basic interpolation techniques with more sophisticated methods.
  3. Inferring the digital twin from Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) modelling, utilizing stochastic methods for thermochemical quantities and solving essential balance equations.
  4. Validating the model against DNS data from DC6 and exploring various operating conditions.
  5. Collaborating with DC3 to develop a physics-based digital twin that integrates system-dependent and physics-related information, including conservation principles and realizability constraints.
